Get ready for a weekend full of adventure! Let 37 North handle everything including camping necessities and campfire meals! We will start our adventure crystal digging at Wegner Crystal Mines, camp under the stars and hike Lake Ouachita.

Get ready for a weekend full of adventure! Let 37 North handle everything including camping necessities and campfire meals! We will leave bright and early Saturday morning to arrive in the quaint town of Mt. Ida just after lunch. We will stop near the end of the drive for lunch to stretch our feet on a short trail and have a picnic lunch surrounded by our new home for the weekend. After a quick jaunt around Mt. Ida we will head to the main event.

After lunch we will dig for crystals at Wegner Crystal Mines. Everyone is guaranteed to find natural crystals at this incredibly unique Ozark park. Explore the area and learn about the geological features that make this place so unique.

After an afternoon of digging we will stop by the town square before heading to the campsite. We will set up camp (we will have tents for everyone!) and, if time allows, do a short hike before dinner. Dinner will be by campfire as your guides make a top tier meal over open flames while you gather around telling stories of the day and showing off the crystals you dug up.

Sunday morning we will get up to the smell and sounds of nature. Let the sunlight bring you out of your tents and let your guides make a hearty breakfast over campfire as we take down camp. We will then head for a great morning hike on the Lake Ouachita Vista Trail (LOViT) which runs along the entire south side of the lake through most of the campgrounds . The whole trail is 40 miles, we will cover around 4 miles on one of the best sections of the trail. Get a great sweat on and bask in the dense nature of the Ouachita Mountain region. During this hike you will get to see the incredible differences that this region offers from traveling just a few hours further South.

After a great morning hike we will stop for a quick tour and lunch in the famous Hot Springs Arkansas before getting back in the van to head home. Relax as we drive you back with new memories and new friends.
