Event Details

You are cordially invited to a celebration of culture and community.

Join the OACAC Lawrence County Neighborhood Center on May 24 from 6-8pm at the Monett City Park Casino for an exhibition commemorating the completion of a successful inaugural year of the Hearts Of Multicultural Education (HOME) project. Supported in part by the Darr Family Foundation, HOME began with the 2017-2018 school year, matching 10 student participants with 10 adult mentors. Throughout the year, participants and mentors shared in a variety of community activities while strengthening their relationships, as well as teaching and learning from one another.

The end of year exhibition celebrates all who took part in this innovative project and will showcase artistic displays created by HOME participants. You are invited to share in the creativity, courage, and inspiration of these young community members. This event is free and open to the public; however, we ask each attendee to reserve a complimentary ticket by May 19. Light hors d’oeuvres will be served.
